Xander's Week of Firsts!

So Alexander has had a very big week of firsts. As with the first year of any baby's life, every week marks new milestones, benchmarks and experiences. It has been so amazing to watch our firstborn experience his. Last Thursday and Friday Bubba met his great Maw Maw and his great Aunt Stephanie for the first time. I was so excited for them to meet my little man and get to know his amazing personality a bit before they had to head back down to New Orleans. We had such a wonderful visit and my Mom and sister were here for it as well. Four generations were able to spend time together, and that is something truly incredible. Bubba dealt pretty well for being the only male in our posse for most of the time! I am so truly happy that all of our family got to be together. After seeing them for a couple days, we took Bubs to Berry for his first Forensic experience. Seeing as how that is how Justin and I met {on the forensics team...nerdy...I Know!} it was kind of neat to have our baby boy experience it as well. We both judged and passed Bubs off to each other, taking turns throughout the day. We also were able to celebrate our coach's 20 year tenure as the Berry College Forensics head coach. We had a wonderful dinner celebrating Randy and all of the alumni he has taught through the years. It truly was special. We also had a great time staying on campus. Berry has cottages on campus that are nestled up near the Ford area. The cottages are a student endeavor and are marketed by students, run by students, cleaned by students and maintaned by students. It truly demonstrates the spirit of Berry college and Justin and I had a fabulous time staying in them and enjoying the beauty of the capus once again. What a special week!
