First Food Fun

Alexander had his first food ever on Saturday. Of course, being first time parents Justin and I were armed with the video camera, ready to get the momentous moment on video. So....it did not really pan out the way that I thought it would in my head. I thought Bubba, being a boy who loves to eat, would just open his mouth the first time the spoon came to it and eat the rice cereal with a big smile on his face. Instead I had to shovel the cereal into a mouth with pursed lips and the grimace and shuttering that preceded was too funny for words. Just another lesson that parenting is not about things being the way that you expected, but instead surprising you and adapting to the situation. Nevertheless, the video of Alexander eating his first spoonfuls of food is priceless, and I would not change his reaction for the world! Just a note, two days later he opened up his mouth every time the spoonful of cereal approached it. That's my boy! *We are working on getting the video to load...I may be posting more often but that doesn't mean that I have become technical superwoman overnight!*
